How to Cook without Fire

You can cook a hot meal without fire anytime and anywhere with the Barocook Flameless Cooking System. With only a little bit of water, you can activate the heating pack and enjoy a hot meal within minutes.

How does it work?

Have you wondered how the Barocook Flameless Cooking System can cook your food for 25-30 minutes? The secret lies in the flameless heating pack, which is made from limestone. Heat is generated when water combines with calcium oxide to form a by-product called calcium hydroxide. After a few seconds, the heating pack is activated and steam (water) starts to release.

The rate of the reaction is controlled by various naturally occurring minerals formulated in the heating pack which, as can be seen in the chart below, is why food can be cooked for 25-30 minutes. Over time the calcium hydroxide by-product will release its water and absorb carbon dioxide, returning to where it started, limestone, one of the most common minerals on earth.
